The baroque pearl directly on the Aare The Besenval Palace in Solothurn was built between 1703 and 1706 by the Besenval brothers in a prominent location directly on the River Aare. Characteristic of the type of building developed in France in the 17th century is the location of the residence between a garden and a so-called cour d’honneur.

The baroque garden overlooking the Aare is the perfect place to end the day with an aperitif and small baroque delicacies.
